It is already hot and most likely going to get hotter! What a great time to spend the hot hours of the day inside quilting in the air conditioning!

We have gotten in lots of HOT batiks! Our batik section is full and overflowing with wonderful bolts from Hoffman, Island Batik and others. We have also gotten in some great bundles from Island Batik. They are great for all those fat quarter patterns that call for lots of different fabrics.

The Christmas fabric is rolling in too! We have gotten in three new lines from Moda and South Seas and are expecting more in July. We are having a Christmas in July sale…..25% off all Christmas fabrics on July 25th!

Our Block of the Month program is going great with almost 40 participants! Can’t wait to see the finished quilts. We are going to start a new quilt in January so if you are interested let us know. For more info click on the page link to the right.

We have gotten several inquiries about our old SIS Book program so I feel we should address it again. To keep from raising the fabric prices, we decided to eliminate the SIS Book discount program. However, we are still offering other discounts which include Guild discount of 10%, Bag Lady Day on the last Saturday of every month-20%, Early Bird Sales bi-annually and of course Fat Tuesday-$1.25 pre-cut fat quarters on the first Tuesday of every month. We will also have other sales from time to time.

Romancing Eastern North Carolina Shop Hop
Wednesday, February 6 – Saturday, February 9, 2008

Do you know what a Shop Hop is?  Here are the rules for ours.  Purchase a “passport” for $5 and receive a free project bag (while supplies last, value $7).  At each participating shop it will enable you to gather the pattern directions for one part of our exclusive Shop Hop Quilt.  Each shop will have their store’s version of the quilt on display during the Shop Hop.  When you visit the eighth store, hand in your completed “passport” to enter the Grand Prize drawings.  You could win a Personal $400 Shop Hop (which consists of a $50 gift certificate from each participating shop) or one of eight $50 gift certificates from each shop!

You can “hop” from Wednesday, February 6th through Saturday, February 9th, 2008.  All the shops have extended hours for your shopping convenience from 9 am until 7 pm each day.  Check out the deals, get the free block patterns, and socialize with other quilters from our area.  What better way to spend the gray days of winter than to be in a quilt shop!
