Workshops & Events

NEW!! NEW!! FRIDAYS 10:30AM TO 4PM SIT & SEW Come in and bring your machine to sit and sew with us. Great time to socialize and share project ideas. We will be here to answer questions and if you run out of thread you will know where to get it! Can’t make it by 10:30 or have to leave before 4….that’s ok, come and go as you please!

Tuesday, December 30th: Kid’s Class-Bracelets All day class for kids. We will make two beaded bracelets. See separate information sheet for more details.

Wednesday, December 31st: Kid’s Class-Rag Quilt (See December 23rd)

We are working on revising our website and we are going to be offering kits and bundles and such for sale on the website. This is what we have so far. I know it is primitive but I have been anxious to get this on the net. If you would like to order, please email or call and we can process it for you.

“Here Comes Santa” kit from P & B Fabrics. The kit is $85 and included binding. The quilt is 75 X 75.

“Serenity I” from the Wilmington Prints Weekend Getaway line which has a beach motif. The kit is $55 and also includes binding. There is a slight difference from the project sheet. There are two blocks that appear as a brown picture frame and are pieced. The kit includes extra panel fabric to use in place of those blocks. The kit also includes the project sheet.

We still have panels left from the Benartex “Star of Wonder” line which has been very popular. There are still some coordinates left as well. If you would like to make this project call us and we can see what we can put together for you.

We also have some flannel ragged edge quilt kits available. The quilts finish at about 52 X 60 and include 7 yards of flannel and a project sheet. Here are the different color ways.

On a sad note, we said good-bye to one of our famous “angels”. Mary Vann passed away on November 20^th. She was a wonderful inspiration to us all as well as a great friend. She has left a whole in our hearts and an emptiness in our store. If you have a story of your experience with Mary Vann, please share it with us as this is how we will keep her memory alive. Pictures of the many jackets made in her workshops would be great too!
